Lewis Twin Peaks Trail

The Lewis Twin Peaks Trail is a relatively easy and relaxed 2 km hike. The trailhead is accessible from the east side of Highway 6 near the Centennial Museum. The trail allows views of picturesque Bass Lake and the forest of Sheguiandah.

Ten Mile Point Lookout

The Ten Mile Point lookout offers breathtaking views of Lake Huron and islands from above. There is also a gift shop and a seasonally maintained rest area with washrooms and picnic tables.

Sheguiandah Bay Park

Located near the Sheguiandah Government Dock, the Sheguiandah Bay Park is a great place to play. There is also a boardwalk to the dock and waterfront.

Centennial Museum Park

The Centennial Museum Park is on the lower level of the museum grounds, and features a playground area for children, picnic tables, washrooms, and a rest area. It is a great place to stop and relax!

Centennial Museum

Highway 6, Sheguiandah

Located on the east side of Highway 6, the Centennial Museum features a main exhibition building and six outbuildings. The museum includes exhibits on the life of Manitoulin settlers from the 1800s onwards, as well as artifacts from the Sheguiandah Archaeology Site that tell stories of life over 11,000 years ago.

Bass Lake Boat Launch

Access to Bass Lake (a popular and serene fishing destination) is marked at the end of Russell Road off of Townline. There is a small boat launch access available by following these signs.

Green Bay Park

Bidwell Road, Sheguiandah

Also known as "Sandy Beach," the Green Bay Park is a small park and swimming area located on Bidwell Road. There are a few playground items, a picnic area, and a changing area. The shallow, sandy bay in Lake Manitou is a perfect place to swim.
